A fishable, swimmable Housatonic River requires the urgent remediation of PCB contamination by General Electric Company.
Begun as a landscape architecture graduate thesis project at Harvard University, Housatonic Studio grounds itself in design research. We recognize that PCB dredging and PCB disposal technologies are various, ever-advancing, and offer an array of cleanup and restoration strategies. Housatonic Studio pursues strategies that are designed for the unique ecologies and communities that constitute the Housatonic River Valley.
Housatonic Studio is a work in progress, and we hope this website functions as an educational resource for those in pursuit of a clean river. We would love to hear from you.
